Seven people treated following bus and van smash

SEVEN people were treated by ambulance crews after a bus and a van crashed near Southam.

The accident happened at the junction of the A423 and Southam Road in Ladbroke shortly after 1pm on Monday February 23.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived on scene to find a bus and a flatbed van that had been in collision and had left the carriageway.

“The driver of the bus, a man in his 20s, had sustained an arm injury. He was treated and discharged at the scene.




“A woman, believed to be in her 60s, who had been travelling on the bus at the time of the incident was treated for back pain and a minor head injury before being conveyed to Warwick Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

“Two other women and a man from the bus and two men from the van were assessed and discharged at the scene.”
