UKULELES were the instrument of choice at Leamington’s Newbold Comyn Arms over the weekend
The annual Leamington Ukulele Festival welcomed over 2,000 across Friday and Saturday (July 4 and 5) for performances by players and groups from across the country.
As the event fell on the United States’ Independence Day, players performed in a number of American styles including Hawaiian, Country and even Elvis.
Dave Jenkins, leader of Leamington’s own Spa Strummers said: “The weather was glorious and the atmosphere was great. We had lots of happy smiling people enjoying ukulele fun all day.”
The event raised money for Zoe’s Place baby hospice.
