Kenilworth Sewer Works Delayed

Leamington Editorial 13th Jul, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

SEWER works in Kenilworth have been delayed by the council.

Severn Trent’s work to prevent sewer flooding for residents in Kenilworth will start a week later than planned – the section of the A429 Coventry Road will be closed for ten weeks from July 20 instead of July 13.

It is hoped the delay will allow changes at Whitley to be completed before the work on the A429 begins.

Paul Evans, from Severn Trent explained: “ While we are keen to get our work underway, we understand that we’re just a small part of lots of work happening in the area and it’s important to work together, with the Highways Authority and other utilities, to keep disruption to a minimum for road users.”

A diversion will be signposted along part of the A45, A46 and the A452 Leamington Road.

Severn Trent have said their contractors will be working as quickly as possible to get the work finished.

Updates are available at stw.works/kenilworthSTW on the work’s progress.
