NAPOLEON will be the focus of attention at a meeting of the The Mid Warwickshire Association of the National Trust at Leamington’s Spa Centre on Wednesday (January 20).
Napoleon was demonised by his enemies, scorned by his own people in 1813, defeated in 1815 and isolated at the end of his life and yet he orchestrated one of the greatest PR campaigns of modern times.
Battlefield tour guide Alan Rooney will be guest speaker at the evening which starts at 7.30pm.
And composer Red Watson will be talking Music and Shakespeare – a look at the music used in the bard’s plays in the Elizabethan period and more recently – on Wednesday February 3, also at the Spa Centre, and also starting at 7.30pm.
Visitors welcome (£3 admission for each talk for non-members of the local association).
