A PENSIONER had her handbag stolen from her trolley as she shopped in Leamington.

The woman in her 70s was in Morrisons on Old Warwick Road around 1.15pm on Tuesday January 12 when the small black bag containing money, bank cards and a mobile phone was taken.

CCTV images of a man and a woman police would like to speak to have since been released.

The woman, who has long dark brown hair, was wearing a cream woollen hat, long dark brown coat with cream fur collar, light coloured jeans and Ugg style boots. She spoke with a European accent.

The man, who is described as tall, with dark brown, short, spiky hair, was wearing a long trench-style dark green coat and a tartan scarf loosely around his neck.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
