CANCER charity Macmillan is thanking fund-raisers in Warwickshire for helping them raise £785,000 last year.
Fund-raisers included coffee mornings, challenge events, and undertaking a sober October, to name a few.
Some of the money went towards providing a GP facilitator for South Warwickshire – a position supporting local doctors and community staff to provide end of life care.
South Warwickshire fund-raising manager Sarah Diston said: “‘With the support of local fundraisers and volunteers, we can keep supporting posts like Hazel’s and team up with partners like local hospices and hospitals to provide the best cancer care possible here in the community.
“With your help, we can make sure no one in Warwickshire has to face cancer alone.”
