FRIENDS of a Warwickshire woman who lost her battle with cancer have vowed to continue fund-raising in her memory.
Friends of Natasha Fermor – fondly known as Tash – will hold a black tie charity ball at the Coventry Hilton on June 25.
Tash set up the charity Tash’s Bashes in 2013 after learning her breast cancer had spread and was not curable.
Through skydives, sponsored walks, head shaving, marathons, quizzes and balls Tash’s Bashes raised £59,000 in two years to fund ground-breaking research into secondary breast cancer at St Bart’s Medical Institute in London.
Before Tash died in January her friends agreed to host another ball with the aim of funding additional vital research into metastasis, the spread of cancer from one organ to another, at the Francis Crick Institute in London.
Free Radio DJ, JD will host the evening and The Rockabellas will provide vintage swing music throughout the evening.
Tickets cost £45 each – or £450 for a table of ten – and include a three course dinner and drinks reception.
