HOCKEY: THERE will be a representative from Leamington Hockey Club playing for England this summer after Sarah Gambling was called up for two major events.
Gambling has been named in England’s 18-player squad for the masters Home Nations competition which runs from June 23-25 in Dublin.
She will also play a part when England travel to Tillburg in Holland for the European Masters Championships from August 11-19.
Her selection comes after playing for England in a practice game against National League side Bristol Firebrands last September, where she scored the only goal of the game.
Even though the tournaments are a few months away yet, Gambling is already excited about her call up and is looking forward to representing her country.She said: “Needless to say I am very happy and proud to have been selected for the England Masters squad – all of my hard work has paid off and I’m excited to play for my country.”
