Barford estate given green light despite objections

Leamington Editorial 21st Jun, 2017 Updated: 21st Jun, 2017   0

MORE THAN 80 objections were submitted over plans for a new housing estate in Barford.

But Warwick District Council has given the development off Bremridge Close the green-light, despite the high number of concerns from local residents.

Issues raised included increased traffic and noise, the impact on wildlife, and a lack of services in the village to support so many new homes.

Following a final decision by the district planning committee, Taylor Wimpey will now proceed with plans to build 63 new homes, of which 25 will be affordable accommodation.
