WISHES have been granted for a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities in Warwickshire.
Heart of England Mencap has been awarded £5,000 from the Heart of England Community Foundation – which grants funding to projects across the West Midlands – to allow adults to enjoy a wider range of activities from music therapy to arts and crafts and sports.
Most sessions are held during the week but weekend activities are held where possible to provide additional support to clients.
Fundraising manager Cath Errington said the extra activities would have a big impact on the lives of the people supported by the charity.
The Heart of England Community Foundation manages funds on behalf of individuals, companies and trusts in the region and awards the money to charities and organisations which make a difference to communities.
