SHOPPERS in Leamington are being challenged to strike a pose to be in with the chance of winning a spending spree at their favourite stores in the town centre.
They are being urged to get snap happy as part of this year’s Love Leam campaign – the month-long initiative organised by BID Leamington to celebrate all the town has to offer.
The #LoveLeamChallenge sets six tasks to be shared on social media, from taking a selfie in an independent shop to taking a photo or video of playing a tune in the sensory garden at Jephson Gardens.
Those who complete the six tasks will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 shopping spree in the town centre – and anyone completing all six plus a bonus challenge will go into the hat for a special prize.
Alison Shaw, project manager at BID Leamington, said: “The bonus challenge is to email or tweet us a video clip of you shouting why you #LoveLeam from the bandstand in the Royal Pump Room Gardens!
“Each year we come up with a host of new activities for the four weeks of Love Leam to showcase different aspects of the town and help people discover new things in a fun way.
“The #LoveLeamChallenge is all about people sharing their discoveries, experiences and thoughts via social media, which is an increasingly important shop window for the town centre and particularly for our independent retailers.
The #LoveLeamChallenge runs until March 16.
