Special needs building at Myton School set to be replaced

Leamington Editorial 15th Aug, 2018   0

AN AGEING special needs building at Myton School is set to be replaced.

The building on Myton Road will be demolished and rebuilt by the start of the new school term in September. It follows concerns about the condition of the building including damp and rotting timbers.

Some 200 pupils use the special needs building, and the application – which was recently approved by Warwickshire County County – will see it extended to improve disability access.

While the former building had 13 classrooms, the new building will have just two along with several smaller rooms for ‘group learning’.
