Downsizing at Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition

Leamington Editorial 22nd Oct, 2018   0

BEER brewing vats, a steam powered saw bench, and a haunted mansion were among the more unusual things on show at the Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition.

This year’s show at the Warwickshire Event Centre near Leamington attracted mechanically-minded modellers from across the country.

Alongside the more unusual exhibits were more commonplace, although no less impressive models, including traction engines, stream trains and aeroplanes.

The four day show is one of the leading model engineering exhibitions and is the second longest running show of its kind in the UK.

It offered the opportunity to see hundreds off models from over 40 societies, including Coventry Society of Model Engineers, the Fosse Way Steamers, and the Gas Turbine Builders Association.
