Warwick District Council seeks views on Tach Brook Country Park

PLANS for a new country park are underway – but Warwick District Council needs help from residents.

The Tach Brook Country Park is set to be created between Bishop’s Tachbrook, Leamington and Warwick and will be around the size of 78 football pitches.

Along with the area being a haven for wildlife and biodiversity, there are plans to make a range of outdoor activities available.

And the council is calling on residents to fill out a survey giving ideas on what features they would like to see.

Neighbourhood services spokesman Robert Hoof said: “I would strongly encourage residents to take a few minutes to fill in the survey. With the help of local people, we will be able to create a wonderful new open space which has something for everyone.”

Bishop’s Tachbrook Parish Council chairman Matt Greene added: “The country park is an exciting opportunity to provide large-scale access to green space for both residents and wildlife. Key to achieving this will be ensuring that what is delivered is both intentional and truly beneficial.

“Please do take the time to let your thoughts be known in this survey so that the park is developed in a way that suits the needs of our community.”

Visit www.warwickdc.gov.uk/TachBrook before Friday December 20 to complete the survey and find out more.
