Leamington pub offering free soft drinks to drivers

Leamington Editorial 4th Dec, 2019   0

A PUB in Leamington is supporting Warwickshire Police’s drink-drive campaign by offering free soft drinks to designated drivers this festive season.

The Newbold Comyn Arms, in Newbold Terrace East, will offer designated drivers one free non-alcoholic drink of their choice per night on Friday and Saturday evenings throughout December.

Pub owner Sarah Miller said: “At this time of year, weekends are filled with parties and occasions where alcohol is flowing.

“Although we want people to have fun at our pub, we also want to encourage people to make sensible choices before they hit the road, which is why we’re rewarding designated drivers.”

Last December 66 drivers in Warwickshire were arrested in relation to drink-driving.

Sarah added: “We think it’s really important to support this campaign and ensure drivers stay sober and safe during the festivities if they’re planning on driving.

“If you’re the designated driver, simply show us your car keys at the bar and claim your free drink.”
