A VIGIL is being held in Leamington ahead of Holocaust Memorial Day.
Labour Party members aim to make a stand against all forms of racism as well as antisemitism outside the town hall on Saturday January 25, from 11am to 1pm. There will be an information stall and passersby will be invited to stop and chat.
Organiser Chris Mackinder said: “This event is particularly relevant in the light of various unfounded claims that the Labour Party is antisemitic and also with regard to the current rather polarised nature of society in the UK following our many Brexit debates.
“It will take the form of a vigil, underlining the need for us to remember the millions murdered in the Holocaust, the need to stand together and maintain vigilance against other genocides.”
