A SYDENHAM youngster has been tackling her anxiety throughout lockdown by making bracelets for charity.
Evie Mai Daly from Sydenham Primary School has raised more than £500 for South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Fund by making loom bands.
The nine-year-old began making the bands as a way to beat her anxiety, and then started selling them for charity.
She set a target of £100, but the bands have proved so popular she has smashed that figure.
People have been donating via a fund-raising page and then collect their bands from the doorstep.
Mum Shelley Daly said: “Lockdown has had a huge effect on her anxiety so she decided make rainbow loom bands to keep herself busy.
“She wanted to sell these bands to raise money for the NHS to say thank you for all they are doing.”
