LEAMINGTON have acted quickly to replace injured goalkeeper Callum Hawkins with the loan signing of West Bromwich Albion stopper Ted Cann.
Hawkins was stretchered off as the Brakes slipped to a 1-0 home defeat against Blyth Spartans last weekend and was later confirmed to have ruptured his ACL and has torn both his lateral and medial menisci.
And Brakes boss Paul Holleran has brought in Baggies keeper Cann on an initial one-month loan deal.
Cann was registered to play in time for Tuesday night’s National League North clash against Buxton before the game was called off due to a frozen pitch.
The 22-year-old has previously spent time on loan at Worcester City, AFC Telford United and Yeovil Town and helped the Baggies to a Premier League 2 Cup win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 2021/22 season.
