THE PREMIER League is back in action under the bright lights of the Brentford Community Stadium for the first time as the West London outfit take on Arsenal in the season opener.

While the summer has been a feast of sport including the Euro 2020 football tournament and the Tokyo Olympics, many fans will be excited to see top-flight action return.

Many grounds are welcoming fans back to watch the action live, a large number will still be watching from home and could be after the best sports package available to gorge on as much of the action as possible.

Catherine Hiley, TV and broadband expert at Uswitch.com, said: “With the agony of the Euro 2020 final still heavy on our hearts, football returns to lift the spirits of the nation with the start of the Premier League season.

“Millions of fans will be looking forward to being back in stadiums once more, and many more will enjoy the action from their homes and pubs.

“Sadly, the days of the BBC screening live Premier League matches during the pandemic are long gone, so fans will have to fork out to watch games at home.

“Sky Sports is the destination for 128 games but fans will also need subscriptions with BT Sport and Amazon Prime Video to watch all of the live matches.

“If you’re an existing Sky customer, one offer currently lets you upgrade your TV membership to include all Sky Sports football channels from £18 a month on a rolling one-month contract.

“New customers looking to get the full football experience with Sky Sports and BT Sports in one package will need to fork out £65 a month, plus a £20 set-up fee.

“BT Sport’s Big Sport package is currently £40 a month, which includes BT Sport and Sky Sports channels. But be aware that the package comes with a 24-month contract and a £29.99 upfront fee, and commits you to having BT as your broadband provider.

“All of the games on Amazon Prime fall between 30 November and 28 December. So if you time your sign-up smartly, you’ll only need to pay for one month to see all 20 matches.

“If you’re currently out of contract with your broadband and TV providers, you can use the opportunity to save a lot of money during the Premier League season.

“For casual fans happy to watch matches on their phone, NOW’s one-off payment of £9.99 gives you a day’s worth of Sky Sports channels on your TV and a five-month subscription to stream on your smartphone.

“We’re fast approaching the start of the Premier League season, so look out for deals intended to lure football fans into a subscription. For many, this may be a time to grab a bargain.”
