BUS services will increase across Coventry and Warwickshire from Monday (June 1) as lockdown measures are eased.
Emergency bus timetables were introduced in March to help key workers get to and from work and for other essential journeys.
Stagecoach Midlands has confirmed timetables will be increased as more people return to work and other parts of daily life re-open.
Stagecoach bosses say enhanced measures – including cleaning, with a focus on key touch points – have been taken to ensure buses are safe.
Engineers and drivers are returning to work to undertake preparations to ensure buses are ready for the ramp up in services. Buses parked up during recent weeks will all be deep-cleaned and will undergo checks in advance of going into service.
In line with government advice, Stagecoach is encouraging passengers to wear a face covering and social distancing measures are in place on all buses. This means each bus has around 20 per cent of normal passenger capacity.
