A EURO cafe is opening in Leamington to extend the hand of friendship to EU nationals and supporters post Brexit.

Campaign group ‘Warwick District 4 Europe’ will host the cafe on the last Saturday of the month at All Saints’ Church in Victoria Terrace.

The event will offer advice and support for EU citizens applying for settled status, as well as friendship and all-important coffee and cake.

Group chair Peter Corkhill said: “Warwick District 4 Europe will continue to push for the closest possible relationship with our European friends and neighbours. The version of Brexit being put forward by the government is not one that was promised by the Leave Campaign and will be damaging to our economy and local jobs.”

The first cafe event will take place on February 29, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
