Kingsley pupils put interviewing skills to the test to guess careers

Leamington Editorial 15th Jun, 2018   0

PUPILS at the Kingsley School have been putting their interviewing skills to the test.

A careers event saw the 11 and 12-year-old girls speak to a mystery panel in a bid to guess their careers.

It aimed to build communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills, while encouraging youngsters to think about job prospects.

Among the visitors – which included former Kingsley pupils – were a lawyer, an architect, an archaeologist, a TV presenter, a doctor and a vet.

Spokeswoman Sarah Bennett said: “This event is a brilliant opportunity to inspire our younger girls and open their eyes to some of the exciting careers in the world.

“Encouraging thought and experiences around careers at an early age is something that is important to us, and events such as this help to encourage and build awareness for the future.”
