THE SECOND oldest man in the world celebrates his birthday today (Friday June 7) – and the Leamington care home where he lives is asking the public to help mark the occasion.
John Farringdon, a resident at Cubbington Mill, is 111 today.
To mark the momentous milestone, staff at the care home are aiming to collect 111 birthday cards for John, from handmade cards, notes and postcards to shop-bought cards.
A spokesperson said: “He will appreciate all the kindness shown.”
Cards can be dropped off at the care home in Church Lane, and email attachments can be sent to [email protected]
