LANDOWNERS in South Warwickshire are being urged to respond to a call for sites to contribute to the region’s future.
Stratford and Warwick District Councils are working together to produce a joint South Warwickshire Local Plan to cover their combined geographical area.
The authorities are looking for suggested development sites of 0.4 hectares and above for housing, employment, commercial, leisure, community use, open space and biodiversity.
And landowners are invited to submit sites to be considered for development allocation through a ‘Call for Sites’ exercise, which is open until Monday June 21.
Greg Collings and Melissa Balk of property consultancy Fisher German which has offices across the Midlands, are urging landowners to avoid missing out.
Greg said: “This is a fantastic chance for landowners in the Stratford and Warwick areas to unlock the value of their land and contribute to the future of the area.
“The councils will be looking to consider sites across the area as part of the creation of the new local plan, so it’s important for landowners looking to capitalise on their land’s potential to respond.
“A Call for Sites exercise is an opportunity that doesn’t come around that often, so we would encourage landowners to take professional advice to make sure they make the most of it.”
