Stay Safe website keeping Warwickshire residents up-to-date with Covid information

Leamington Editorial 21st Nov, 2020   0

A DEDICATED website which includes information about local outbreak plans, what powers and responsibilities councils have to fight Covid, and resources for local communities is being promoted by Warwickshire County Council (WCC).

The council has teamed up with Coventry City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to develop a local plan to manage Covid-19.

It includes the Stay Safe website, which features information for business and residents of the areas such as the latest information about Covid-19 cases, testing capacity and healthcare data, and signposting to the NHS Test and Trace service.

The councils are ‘Beacon’ authorities which implement local plans to manage Covid-19 by sharing data and intelligence, and working with partners including the NHS and community leaders to ensure residents can access information to help to stop the spread of the virus.

WCC leader Coun Izzy Seccombe said: “The Beacon Stay Safe website hosts a range of information for all our residents and local businesses. The website plays a key role in keeping everyone informed about the latest Covid-19 information and guidance.

“There is also a suite of materials and resources available for our community partners to share among our communities, helping to reduce the spread of Covid-19 throughout our communities.”
