A DRAMATIC police chase ended with suspected thieves throwing bricks at a patrol car before blocking its route and making a getaway.
Police received a report of a suspicious 4×4 towing a trailer in Lower Shuckburgh on Friday evening (January 17).
Officers from Rugby saw it travelling through Princethorpe and started to follow it.
As it sped off, the police pursued – but the occupants stopped, threw bricks at the police car and left the trailer behind, blocking the officers’ way.
Enquiries are underway to identify the owner of the trailer, which is believed to have been stolen.
