TOM Hall, who lives in Kenilworth, helped Great Britain win team gold competing at the Veronica’s Cup in Kamnik, Slovenia.

Hall, alongside Conor Hall and Alex Wise, won gold in the recurve men’s team division after beating Ukraine in a thrilling tie-break shoot off.

The trio, ranked second, beat top-ranked Ukraine after a closely fought five ends of shooting, eventually triumphing 27-25 following a tie break shoot-off

Tom said: “We feel pretty good about bagging another medal this year, especially finally getting the big first place on the finals field. It’s been a long time coming.

“Obviously it’s big for our confidence because nothing really helps like winning, but I think the confidence has been there the whole time from everything we’ve done in the winter.

“All the training we’ve done means we know that everyone’s shooting really well.”

Britain won two team gold medals and one individual silver at the week-long world ranking event.
