LEAMINGTON Lions Ladies were beaten 6-0 in the final of the League Cup by Solihull Sporting who completed a league and cup double in the process.
Isabelle Haigh scored four goals on the day with Sigourney Gowlett and Lauren Smith also on target for Solihull at Lichfield City’s Brownsfield Road ground.
Leamington were beaten 8-2 and 11-1 by Solihull in their two league meetings and reached the final with wins against Rugby Borough Women and Cookley Sports Ladies.
The Lions finished the West Midlands Regional Women’s Football League Division One South season in sixth place, winning eight of their 18 matches.
