EWAN Williams scored a sensational overhead kick as Leamington came from behind to beat Southport 2-1 and earn back-to-back victories in the league for the first time this season.
Williams scored a stunning acrobatic winner on 77 minutes after Ant Lynn’s goal just past the hour mark cancelled out Arthur Gnahoua’s opener at the Your Co-Op Community Stadium.
The result means the Brakes sit 10th in the National League North table.
After a goalless first period, Southport broke the deadlock on 48 minutes when Gnahoua cut inside his man and whipped a shot into the right corner of the goal.
However, Leamington equalised on 61 minutes as Lynn pounced to turn home Owen Farmer’s deflected effort.
And the Brakes completed the turnaround in style on 77 minutes as Williams sent an overhead kick past Southport goalkeeper Chris Renshaw from inside the penalty area.
Leamington are next in action against Spennymoor Town on Saturday, September 6 with kick-off at 3pm at Brewery Field.
