LEAMINGTON trio Joe Magunda, Lee Moore and Richard Taundry have provided manager Paul Holleran with a welcome boost after committing themselves at the New Windmill Ground for another season.
All three have confirmed they will be playing in ‘black and gold’ once again for the up-coming 2015/16 season as Brakes look to win promotion from the Southern League Premier Division.
Both Magunda and Manager’s Player of the season Moore amassed over 100 appearances for the club last season and first joined Brakes prior to the 2012/13 Southern League title-winning season.
Their experience will be key as Holleran’s men attempt the tough task of bouncing back from last season’s disappointment, with both having tasted promotion with Brackley and Nuneaton Town respectively prior to joining Leamington.
Taundry made a big contribution in just six appearances last season after spells at both Worcester City and Solihull Moors as he struggled to top the club’s slide towards relegation.
The 26-year-old’s performances demonstrated to fans that he can be a big asset in the battle to get back to the Conference and his experience having made nearly 200 appearances for Walsall could prove to be valuable.
The news brings the number of players committed to the club for next season to eight with Tony Breeden, Connor Gudger, James Mace, Jack Edwards having reached agreements with the manager.
They will be joined by new signings Rob Ogleby and Ben Mackey when the squad reports back for pre-season.
