PLANS are in the pipeline to build up to 125 new homes in Radford Semele.

Taylor Wimpey has submitted outline plans to Warwick District Council for the homes and public open spaces off Southam Road.

The developer reduced the proposed number of homes from 140 following community consultation.

The homes are set to be low carbon, incorporating air source heat pumps, solar panels and EV charging points.

Up to 40 per cent of would also be affordable, including homes for social rent and shared ownership.

A new signal-controlled pedestrian crossing (puffin crossing) on Southam Road is included in the proposals, together with a community garden or orchard and a children’s play area.

Taylor Wimpey spokesman Stephen Swinscoe said: “We are pleased to have submitted our outline proposals for a high-quality development in Radford Semele. We are grateful for feedback from local people during our pre-application consultation and are pleased to have been able to incorporate a new signalised crossing of Southam Road to benefit the wider community.

“Our plans place a focus on sustainable living through the provision of low carbon homes alongside extensive green spaces for recreation and play, as well as biodiversity improvements to support nature.

“We look forward to continued engagement with the community in Radford Semele as the planning process moves forward.”

The application can also be viewed on Warwick District Council’s planning portal under reference W/25/1716.
