A BODY has been found in a river at a Leamington park.
Police were called to Victoria Park near Princes Drive shortly before 7.45am this morning (Wednesday April 15) after a member of the public saw a man in the River Leam.
Officers and paramedics arrived to find the man – believed to be in his 50s – had died. His next of kin has been informed.
Police are currently treating his death as unexplained and have started an investigation.
Det Insp Gareth Unett said: “We’re trying to establish the exact circumstances leading up to the man’s death and are keen to speak to anyone who might have information that could help us.
“In particular, we’d like to speak to anyone who was in the park before 7.45am this morning. If you can help, please get in touch.”
