A COMMUNITY grant workshop hosted by Leamington Town Council has been hailed a great success.
Twelve local community groups and charities gathered at the SYDNI Centre to receive advice and guidance on completing their grant applications.
The session, held on Saturday April 18, provided practical support on how to complete application forms effectively and better understand the funding criteria. The workshop aimed to help local organisaitions submit high-quality applications for the town council’s community grants programme.
The Community Grant Fund is now open and offers a total funding pot of £58,000 – a significant increase compared to last year which reflects the continuing need for community funding support. Eligible groups can apply for grants of up to £2,000 to support projects that benefit the town.
Deadlines for this funding round are Friday May 15, Friday August 14 and Friday December 4.
Leamington mayor Coun Ruggy Singh said: “The workshop has been a great success, with many local groups seeking guidance and support to ensure they have the best possible chance of securing funding. It is very encouraging to see the number of local groups across Leamington developing projects that will benefit and help our community.
“This year is particularly exciting with an increased funding pot compared to last year, meaning even more groups will benefit. Our first deadline is May 15 – please check our website for more details.”
