Raiders use sledgehammer to attempt to break into Radford Semele village shop

RAIDERS attempted to break into a village shop in Radford Semele by smashing through the front door with a sledge hammer.

They broke the glass pane of the door in order to try and gain entry at 4.30am on Wednesday May 6 but made off in a white vehicle after being disturbed by the owners of the store, in Lewis Road, who had been sleeping upstairs.

Warwickshire Police is appealing for information to help with its investigation.
