MUSIC-lovers are being asked to put their support behind Warwick-based band Rosetta Fire when they compete for a place at Godiva Festival.
The musicians – who play a mixture of jazz, funk and pop – will be performing at Coventry’s Kasbah on Saturday in a battle of a bands.
The winner will be given a slot playing alongside the likes of The Boomtown Rats, Scouting for Girls and The Charlatans.
Lead guitarist Jimmy Lapworth said: “This would be a great opportunity for us so we’re really hoping the crowd will get behind us on the night. We hope to get a good turnout of people from Warwick and Leamington lending their support because every vote counts.
“We are really looking forward to playing and getting through to the Godiva Festival would be the icing on the cake for us. “
