Moreton Morrell College showcased a menagerie of animals and skills at Annual Show

THE FARM gates were opened for the annual Moreton Morrell College’s show at the weekend.

The event showcased college’s students’ talents with floristry, forge and farriery demonstrations and show jumping competitions.

Students and lecturers were on hand to demonstrate their skills as blacksmiths and tree doctors and showing people the residents animal welfare centre.

A livestock parade, sheep-shearing and equine competitions also featured and four-legged visitors were put through their paces in the dog agility area.




Moreton Morrell College director, Andrew Cropley said: “It has been another very successful Moreton Morrell College Annual Show with lots of visitors of all ages coming through the gates.

“The show is a great opportunity for our students and staff to showcase their skills to the local community so they can see all the fantastic work that goes on at the college.


“The demonstrations and have-a-go opportunities were also very popular for those thinking about taking a course.

“A big thank you to everyone who made the show such a success.”
