A PARTY atmosphere can be expected at Whitnash’s annual fun day on July 3.
Highlights of the event, which takes place at Acre Close from 11am to 4pm, include the 5K road race in memory of Cavin Woodward and the town’s trolley carnival.
The road race is designed for adults – though children can take part if they run with an adult – and starts in Franklin Road at noon.
Participants will then be followed along the route by Brownie, Guide and Rainbow groups who have decorated floats as part of the carnival.
This year’s carnival theme is Space so people are encouraged to dress up accordingly.
Other activities on the day include performances from the Spa Strummers, archery, go carts, bouncy castles, a climbing wall and a number of stalls and activities.
Organisers are on the hunt for people to take part in both the run and the carnival as well as volunteers to help on the day. Entries for the race and carnival must be in by July 2.
