New personal best time for Pete Soley in Alcester

PETE Soley ran a fantastic new personal best time to finish fourth at the Alcester 10km event on Sunday.

The Spa Strider runner took over a minutes off his previous best time to finish in 36 minutes and 34 seconds.

At the popular Oxford Half Marathon, Daniel Stannard was also in top form after recording a new PB himself by finishing in 1:23.28.

There were also several new club members in action with newcomers Dave Chantrey (1:29.45) and Dexter Teale (1:36.21) impressing with PBs too.




Fellow Striders Roz Cox (1:57.30), Dave Lithgow (1:59.44), Gary Perkins (2:13.17) and Kevin Pantling (2:08.42) all put in fine performances.

Sue Cox was the first lady home in the V45 category at the Green Leek 10km multi-terrain race around Kenilworth in a time of 48.51. Tim Stooks (1:03.31) and Becca Stooks (1:03.34) also completed the inaugural event.
