A SPATE of burglaries around Wellesbourne have prompted a warning from police.
The village Safer Neighbourhood Team – which covers surrounding villages including Kineton, Lighthorne and Snitterfield – have warned residents to remain vigilant after nine burglaries were reported in the area.
Although most victims are worried they have been specifically targeted or watched before the incident, the team have said most burglaries are opportunistic.
Burglars choose houses which have little or no security, appear unoccupied and have easy access to the side and rear.
