Leamington residents urged to have their say on neighbourhood plan

Leamington Editorial 8th May, 2017   0

PEOPLE are being urged to have their say on Leamington’s Neighbourhood Plan.

The Neighbourhood Plan is a key component of the Government’s Localism Act, which aims to devolve greater powers to councils and neighbourhoods. The plan will cover everything from green spaces and sustainable transport, to housing and leisure facilities.

Leamington Town Council is giving people the chance to find out more and have their say on the plan with drop-in sessions at St Paul’s Hall, Leicester Street, on May 18 from 6pm to 9pm; St Mary’s Lower Hall, St Mary’s Road, on May 20 from 1pm to 4pm; St Mary Magdalene Octagon Room, Vicarage Road, on May 27 from 1pm to 4pm; Brunswick Hub, Shrubland Street, on 31st May 31 from 11am to 2pm; South Lodge, Jephson Gardens, on June 1 from 11am to 2pm; Sydni Centre, Cottage Square, on June 3 from 1pm to 4pm; Lillington Free Church, Cubbington Road, on June 10 from 1pm to 4pm; and St Mark’s Lounge, Rugby Road, on June 15 from 6pm to 9pm.

There will be activities for children, local maps, the Leamington Wish Trees, a prize draw and free refreshments.
