POLICE are hunting vandals after nine cars were targeted at Warwick Parkway train station.
Windows were smashed and wheels stolen in the attack which happened overnight on Thursday (April 26).
Motorist David Morris, who had left his car there overnight, returned to a scene of carnage the following morning with the contents of cars strewn across the car park, which is covered by CCTV.
Mr Morris said: “I got back and found it with four windows smashed and all the wheels missing,”
The station near Budbrooke is run by Chiltern Railways.
A spokesman told the BBC: “This car park is covered by CCTV and damage to vehicles across the route is rare.
“We are working with Warwickshire Police and assisting those that have been affected.”
The park and ride station opened in 2000 in a bid to encourage commuters to use the train at a time when parking was limited at stations in Leamington and Warwick. It has around 960 parking spaces.
