ARRESTED Development bring their brand of alternative hip-hop to Leamington’s Assembly on Friday February 20.

The group was founded by Speech and his then best friend Headliner as a positive, Afrocentric alternative to the gangsta rap popular in the early 1990s.

They hit the ground running with their acclaimed debut 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days in the Life Of.. which included the hit

Mr Wendal, which brought attention to the plight of the homeless, and the group gave half of that singles royalties to the homeless charities in their homeland.

They now have ten albums under their belt and the Assembly audience can expect material old and new from their 20 plus year career.
