REVELLERS will be descending on Rugby for a brand new festival this August bank holiday.
Down on the Close welcomes Imelda May, Wilko Johnson, Toploader and the Roving Crows for a family-friendly ‘festival in a night’ at Rugby School on Saturday August 26.
Headliner Imedla May is set to bring a magical new groove to proceedings, as she explores blues, soul, gospel and folk in her most autobiographical songs yet.
Wilko Johnson – lured into music by the dark magic spun from his first Telecaster – found fame with Dr Feelgood in the 70s and continues to duck-walk his way across stages. Expect gutsy, good old fashioned rock and roll.
Toploader will have people dancing in the moonlight, while Roving Crows offer the crowd something a little different with their unique take on folk-fusion.
There’s no need to bring a tent – all acts take the stage on one night. Tickets cost £36.50 for adults and £20 for under 15’s. VIP packages are available.
