THE BRODSKY Quartet return visit to Leamington on Friday March 24.
The quartet, last in town over two years ago, will complete the Leamington Music Winter Season with a performance at the Pump Rooms.
They will begin and end the concert with works by Schubert, his one movement Quartettsatz D703 to start and one of his masterpieces, the Death and the Maiden Quartet to finish.
Between these, the quartet will offer two works from the first part of the 20th century – Webern’s Six Bagatelles Opus 9 and Quartet No 4 by the Viennese born composer Zemlinsky.
The Brodsky Quartet, which was founded in 1972, has given over 2,000 concerts worldwide and made over 50 recordings.
