HIDDEN gem may be something of an over used cliché, but it certainly sums up Crown Way Street Food in Lillington.
I’ve been seeking a really good takeaway since I started working from home, but I didn’t expect to find one quite this good.
I was really keen to try this local business after hearing so many great reviews. Word of mouth is always the best recommendation for me. As they say, the proof is in the eating.
And I was certainly not disappointed. The food was absolutely fantastic – from the quality of the ingredients to the taste of the dishes, and let’s not forget in these tough economic times, it’s also superb value for money.
We enjoyed a super-tasty Katsu Chicken – chicken breast covered in panko breadcrumbs covered in an aromatic curry sauce served with sticky rice and salad, together with a wonderful Teriyaki Stirfry – chicken, noodles, egg, red onion, beansprouts, leeks, mixed peppers, teriyaki sauce, spring onion, lime and sesame oil.
There’s is no doubt my family will certainly be putting in another order very soon, and judging by the word on the street, we will not be alone.
