Luna Kiss play Leamington before European tour

Leamington Editorial 9th Apr, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

ALTERNATIVE rock band Luna Kiss are gearing up for a show on home turf before taking off on a European tour.

The four-piece band are set to go on their second tour of Germany and Holland after a successful venture overseas last year.

But to showcase some of their new material, musicians Wil, James, Ross and Chris – who all studied at Warwickshire College’s Leamington and Stratford sites – will perform at the Zephyr Lounge on Saturday April 16.

Many of the new tracks set to be performed are inspired by artists including Jeff Buckley, Massive Attack and Radiohead and will feature on the band’s upcoming EP – which will be their third in three years.

Their previous releases were labelled as ‘brilliant’ by Kerrang Radio.

And Classic Rock Magazine said: “Any band which disregards boundaries and thinks one step ahead deserves the attention of any self-respecting rock fan.”

Their gig at the Spencer Street venue – which will be supported by talented musician Steve Faulkner and Rugby-based band The Empire – also coincides with Record Store Day, an annual celebration of independently owned record stores.

To celebrate leaflets will be available from neighbouring Seismic Records on Spencer Street, offering fans the chance to gain half price entry to the show and a free copy of acclaimed EP Gravity.

Doors open at 7pm and tickets cost £7 and £3 with a flyer.
