THE ROLLING Stones will play Coventry’s Ricoh Arena this summer.

The legendary rockers will stop off at the home of Coventry City and Wasps on Saturday June 2 as part of their No Filter tour – their first in five years

Tickets go on sale on Thursday (March 15) at 9am. Tickets for other dates on the tour have sold out quickly.

The second part of the No Filter tour will see the Stones perform hits such as Paint It Black and Brown Sugar as well as some promised surprise tracks.

Frontman Mick Jagger commented: “It’s great that we’ll be playing even more UK venues where we’ve never played before. Look out Southampton and Coventry, we’ll see you this summer.”

Guitarist Keith Richards added: “Bring it on, two more shows for our UK fans. Can’t wait.”

The No Filter tour kicks off in Dublin on May 17 and then heads for the UK – two shows at the London Stadium, Southampton, Coventry, Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff, a third London show at Twickenham Stadium, before jetting off to Berlin, Marseille, Stuttgart, Prague and Warsaw.

Coventry is already celebrating its UK City of Culture 2021 triumph and landing the BBC’s Biggest Weekend concert at the War Memorial Park in May 27 and 28 which will feature Liam Gallagher, the Stereophonics and Snow Patrol.
