Serving up some spring treats

Leamington Editorial 5th Apr, 2024   0

THERE’S certainly no shortage of places to eat in Leamington these days which makes competition for customers fierce.

Located on Clarendon Avenue, a stone’s throw from the top of the Parade, Boston Tea Party has established an enviable reputation for fresh, sustainable and imaginative dishes.

And the new spring menu certainly continues that tradition, with some inspired, and very tasty dishes. Those looking for a brunch with a difference should certainly consider a visit.

Offerings include a wonderful Smoked Salmon Hash Рa crisp homemade potato hash piled high with flaked smoked salmon in a cr̬me fraiche, perfectly cooked charred corn, avocado, and topped with sweet chilli and lime to taste.

Or for those who like a little spice there’s the welcome return of the Quesadilla – toasted tortilla wrap with a moreish black bean and melted cheese filling, accompanied by avocado, Pico de Gallo (salsa with tomato, red onion, garlic, coriander and lime), soured cream, lime and coriander.

Brunch can even be made that extra bit special by adding a glass of fizz (Buck’s Fizz or Prosecco) or maybe a Bloody Mary (virgin option available) or a Mango Mimosa.

BTP also do some very special made to order smoothies – The Green One (seasonal greens, cucumber, chia seeds, apple juice and lime) and Blueberry & Ginger (blueberry, ginger, banana and apple juice) are both winners.

There’s also the option of long-time BTP favourite Buttermilk Pancakes – served with either free-range smoked streaky bacon or blueberry compote and natural yoghurt, both of which are of course accompanied by Boston maple syrup.

And for those still not sure, then there there eggs various ways, burgers, salads and more.

The conservatory-like setting makes for a relaxed dining experience and service comes with a genuine smile, which a number of other eateries could learn from.

It’s not surprising that BTP customers are rarely one-time visitors.
