THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE Players have been recreating Queen Elizabeth I’s visit to the Lord Leycester Hospital.
The tongue-in-cheek troupe put on a show about the visit in 1572, when she saw the historic Tudor buildings which became a retirement home for soldiers under her reign.
Money raised from the production was then handed over to the Master of the Lord Leycester Hospital.
Next up for the perfomers is a 1920s-style murder mystery in September. Email [email protected] to find out more.
