THEY’RE creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky – and they’re heading for Kenilworth’s Talisman Theatre.
Broadway smash The Addams Family Musical will see Gomez, Morticia, Lurch and co taking to the stage from June 21 to 28.
It’s every father’s “boy meets ghoul” nightmare. Wednesday Addams (Charlotte McClay), the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with someone totally unsuitable – a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family.
A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother.
Now, Gomez Addams (Alistair Joliffe) must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife Morticia (Amanda Dodd).
Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
Director Wendy McClay said: “You may not know the tunes when you enter the auditorium but you will certainly be humming them by the time you leave. Music ranges from a mournful ballad to a sizzling “sex on legs” tango and all rhythms in between, you’ll understand when you come visit with the Addams’.”
